Dreams Do Come True

Last week I had just the most amazing experience.  I watched one of my visions materialize before my eyes.  It was just perfect, this unfolding; it happened in ways that I had not orchestrated or planned.  I knew what I wanted and I knew why it was going to be super special, but I didn't have any idea how it would happen.

Last week, I got permission to visit my daughter in a Guatemalan orphanage.  You see, she was taken from her first home in August of 2009 and moved to a second orphanage, where I could not see her without the order of judge.  And no judges were up for granting me any visits.  It seemed it didn't matter what I did, they were not budging.  So I decided to effect change from the inside.  And I began my vigils.  Applying what I had learned (and teach everyday) I began to envision seeing her again.  I found the pictures of the orphanage and studied its grounds.  I saw pictures of some of the missionaries who served there.  I even saw pictures of the kids who lived there.

I took these images, and my own desires, into the workshop inside my mind – my imagination.  And I began my work.   I imagined myself at that orphanage.  I saw the missionaries greeting me and welcoming me.  I saw the director inviting me in and smiling brightly.  I saw my daughter embracing me, playing with me, laughing with me and bonding with me.  I saw her happy and healthy and secure in her sweet self.

And this is exactly what I found.  But even better!  I was granted one visit by the judge but the director invited me back for two more!  I saw my precious girl three times and on the third visit, as soon as she rounded the corner and saw me, she dropped the hand of her escort and ran into my arms.  It was beyond my wildest dreams.  And as each part unfolded, I felt goose bumps rise on my arms.  It was surreal, like living slightly outside of myself, observing the scene.

But it was real, and each time I envision something and it happens, my faith grows.  And as my faith grows, my visions become clearer.  Because I now know that I can affect any area of my life that I choose.  I just need three things 1) the desire  knowing what I want 2) the practice – seeing the vision as I want it and 3) believing that I can have it.  And trust me, 1 and 2 are easy.  When you can convince yourself that you CAN have it – you will.

An amazing story and a great reminder to us all to hold on to the power of our dreams and believe them with all our being. Such a lovely positive story. Plus an amazing photo of you both. Thank you Christina :-)
